Great job Joe. Have you posted this over on the PH forum?
Very nice job Joe. A very pretty plane
Chris
No offense to your build, but i seem to find zeros boring. i dont know what it is, the plane just makes me want to yawn lol. Your build looks pretty good. I did notice that you got hit by a little bug on the prop… water dries a funky color after the decal is applied. oh well, not the end of the world, right? Keep on buildin’!
Looks great Joe. One day I want to build some Japanese planes but I have to get through about 15 other models before I do that.
Cheers
Paul
Nice build, Joe! Keep 'em coming.
Mark
Looks good Joe. Nice painting.
Regards, Rick
Looks good Joe. Hey, you’re not jumping the gun on the PHGB are you??
Looks really good, I have the same kit waiting to be built looks fun. Again great build.
many thanks to all of you for the kind words. the spot on the prop i see in the pics but not on the real thing. must have been lighting. nah this isnt a jump on the ph build. i have a kate for that one.
joe
Well looks like you’ll be stuck with a few more yawns, because I have the same kit on the way[:D], although not nearly so far along. I think I know what you mean, aestetically, there is nothing particuarly stunning or interesting about the Zero. Although far from my favorite WWII fighter, I think they at least have good clean lines and are well balanced.
Hey Joe, that’s a nice looking Zero-sen.
Andy
Nice Zero Joe, actually I like the Zero it has very smooth lines and it looks like it wants to fly. I really like the weathered up zeros that have been through a few fights with Hellcats and Corsairs.[8-] I bought the same kit at hobby lobby during their last sale and I cant wait to get to it.
Very Nice Zero…it looks very good…although I am no expert on Japanese aircraft. But I like it…looks great.
Very nice build I hope to build one in the foreseable future
Great build joe, keep on keepin on!
(YAY MY 300th POST!)
Nice looking Zero, joe!
Hey Joe,
I had a couple of suggestions for you…to make your future models even better…as I am learning about this stuff as well…
I’m sure that tamiya model has engraved panel lines…and to bring out the features of that aircraft more, you could preshade or post shade them with a dark grey before painting the main colors…like these articles illustrate
http://hsfeatures.com/features04/ju87g2bg_2.htm
http://hsfeatures.com/bf110bookextractbg_1.htm
You might also note where wear and tear are on the model and use chalk pastels to highlight those spots…such as rust color around the machine gun barrels…oil stains…burnt marks…what have you…
These additions will bring out the details of your models…
but these are just suggestions…you can take them or leave them…
take care,
Doug
Wonderful job on the Zero.
Nice job on the Zero. I like the dirty area along the wing walks.

Joe,
Nice looking zero. I have several of Mr. Tamiya’s kits on the shelf but none of his zeros. How was it to build? Thanks!
