Finished Mig-21 UM Neomega conversion

This kept me busy for a long while. It is the full body Neomega conversion using the Academy Mig-21 PF as a base. The fit wasnt the best and the cockpit was a real pain to do. almost all side detail from the seats had to be removed to make them fit the tub at all. and getting the tub to fit…GRRRRRR. A little bit of chipping weathering and a few oil leaks that all migs seem to accumulate were done, but not too much. ti turned out better than expected, especially as I was on the point of binning it completely more than once, but it became such and expensive build money wise i had to persist.

also includes Eduard wheels, wheelwells and bronze undercarriage, Eduard brassin engine, quickboost airscoops a metal pitot , and some Begemot decals.

obviously had to make a lot of the small stuff myself, mostly to do with a frame for the vacform canopy and the bits to mount it plus the antenae,

Beautiful build. I love it.

Very nice work.

Well done!

From all those a/m boxes and parts - that looks like it would have been a daunting build.

You’ve pulled it off though Misty - congratulations on persevering and turning out such a great build.

That’s very cool mang! Nice paint job.[Y]

Outstanding, glad you didn’t quit, you’re a right brave modeler.

Wow, just excellent. Love MiG’s, and this one is spectacular!!

Thanks all for the kind comments. I love migs too, and i still have one half built, but this sucked the desire to finish it out of me for the time being. I may have to do a modern flanker to help me forget. B-)
