Finished Enzo pics

After 7 or 8 months, 2 disasters and 2 heart attacks…

I’ll try to get better photos, light at the moment of the photos wasn’t the best…

Beautiful work!

That is a beautiful build. Turned out alot better than mine did for sure. How did you get the carbon fiber decals to lay so smooth, that was the biggest problem I had

Stunning model. Great work [tup].

Regards, Rick

Firstly, thanks for your comments. I like the result, more the interior and the engine bay, but… i didn’t take closer pics of the mistakes, you know XD There are some little mistakes in the body… i learned in the bad way that tamiya acrylic paint is not the best option for these models :frowning:

lizardqing, i used MicroSol to set all carbon fiber decals. You just have to set the decal in his place, to soak it with MicroSol, and let it dry. It adapts the decal to the surface very good, and you can repeat the process until you like the result and the decal is completely adapted to the surface.

I took some more (and better, i think) pics:

Thanks again for your comments

Nice Enzo. Did you use extra CF sheets to get all the CF work done, or was there enough included with the kit? I purchased this model a couple of weeks ago but haven’t looked into the box much for fear of wanting to start building it out of order of other builds I have planned first!

I don’t know, because my CF decals are from scale motor sport, my enzo kit was the original one with no CF decals included.

Thanks.

How many sheets from SMS did you use?

4 sheets, I would say. Don’t buy the “pack” for enzo in which decals have templates in the back, you’ll have to redo almost every template and it doesn’t include decals for monocoque.

If you have to buy CF decals, 3 or 4 sheets of SMS are the best option, in my opinion.

Beautiful Enzo, ColdFire. I really like the color combination. Also, excellent use of CF decal sheets. It looks like you used both plain weave and twill weave. Very nice work. You’ve really done this car justice and I think any modeler would be proud to have it on their shelf.

OK, thanks for the info ColdFire. I got the Enzo with the CF decals included, but I doubt they’ve included enough to decal the frame and other areas you’ve covered. I’ll look into picking up an extra sheet or two to get my Enzo up to snuff.

man nice enzo!r u willing to sell that thing???that looks good enough to drive! get back to me on if u want to sell it!-brad
P.S.it will look good in a display case.

Very great build!!! I’m sorry, I didn’t catch if that was the Tamiya Enzo, or the other one (I forget off hand which company, revell I think). The color combination is really awesome, I think the blue is just perfect. Black is a very hard color to lay down, and you did an awesome job!!

Excellent work there![:D]

Great use of the CF decals. I use a lot of CF decal sheets from various sources and I’ve used 4 sheets on a BMW Williams and I’m no where near finished yet!

Stunning!!! Great build! Mine’s been back in the box for three months - got fed up with all that c/f decalling! Maybe you’ve given me the inspiration to finish it! Martin
