How bad you want one? $44.95? Ouch…
[(-D][D)][(-D]
Certainly not THAT bad!
Take care,
Frank
I wanted a couple, but at that price I’ll be forced to pass.
Regards, Rick
$45 for a 1/72 Bf 109??? [:O] I’ll take a pass too!!
They’re about $20 at HLJ…even with shipping you’re ahead of the game, and you won’t wait for eons like at Great Models…
You beat me to it: HobbyLink Japan has thisFM Bf-109F-2 and F-4 for about 21-22 bucks plus P&P. If you want the FM PE fret for it, which also comes with a tiny, turned metal pitot tube, it’s extra. But IMHO, HLJ is about the most underrated distributor anywhere. I have some of their Japanese and German gun barrels (with hollow, flared muzzels in 1/48 and 1/32!), pitot tubes and other accessories you won’t find anywhere else, and they ship fast. www.hlj.com

When I got back into modelling 3 years ago, I ordered from GM twice…never did get what I asked for…I called both times and was treated poorly by a very nasty woman…I cancelled both orders. I also saw the guy at NATS last year, and his prices were retail plus. No deals, even on the last day…Nor does he keep much, if any ,f what he advertises in stock; it’s all reorder, many items of which are OOP or pre-release. HLJ, and Rainbow Ten, and Squadron, Meteor Productions, etc…all have in-house stock available…what you see is what you get. But hey…it your money, spend it where you see fit. I simply don’t have the time of day for Not-So-Great Models.
Ask yourself this…Why is he charging $40 for a $20 kit?
WOW[:O] 45 bucks and that’s the DISCOUNTED price. Tack on the shipping and I’ve just about paid for one of my Polar Lights Enterprise refits.[?]
I’m with you there.
On the other hand I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Great Models. In the past they were slow on some orders when an item wasn’t in stock, but then again they do offer a lot of items that are hard to find elsewhere.
They seem to have changed their policy lately and usually ship what they have and cancel the long wait back orders. I do order from Squadron more than GM, but GM has never done me wrong.
Yeah, got mine at HLJ for about $26 US…and did not wait forever!
Nice kit too!
Joe
Eh-hem…Let me put it this way. There is NO 1/72nd scale single engined piston aircraft worth $45. PERIOD.
