Finally figured out how to paint with an Airbrush!

Yippee, after so many failed attempts and blobs of paint, one day, I hit the pressure knob on my compressor, unknowingly. Then I started to run out of the color I needed to I thinned it a little more. Then I put the paint in the airbrush and started to paint. To my suprise, the paint went on like I was painting with a feather. I looked at the pressure guage and it said 10psi. There was no heavy or caked up or powdered up paint anywhere. All the panel lines showed through as if the model was molded in the color I was painting. Finally!!! Masking was a piece of cake. Just lite feathered strokes and Eureka!!! A beautiful, even feathered straight line. The masking still needs a little work but I’m getting there. Just thought I’d share cause I’m just sooo happy [:D]

Congratulations!!! It’s great when something finally comes together like that.

Gotta luv it when a plan comes together.

Live for the moment. I too have experienced this nirvana, but have a hard time making it happen the next time I paint!! It’s sorta like golf: you know what’s supposed to happen, but for some reason it doesn’t always work that way!!

Take notes and keep a record of what you did so you can refer to them next time!!

Congratulations!

Congrats!!..Just remember this when using an airbrush: Clean it well and clean it often. Nothing is more frustrating when you try to lay paint on a model and nothing comes out.

Congrats my friend, no better feeling than when you finally figure it out! Like Kaleu said, keep it clean! Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Even He couldn’t get a dirty airbrush to work!
