Hope someone can help out here, I have decided to take a break from building airplanes…too much of a good thing I guess. I’ve decided to give car building a bash, specifically a number of 1/32 scale ferraris. First up is a 330 P4…There are a number of reds available off the shelf suitable for airbrush application. So the question is What is Ferrari Red? is it Revell? which seems a little maroon or is Humbrol?
Would appreciate any feedback / advice anyone may have…Thanks in advance…Paul
Tamyia makes it in spray bomb form…can be decanted and air brushed. Testors also makes an Italian red…which I suspect is the same color.
Thanks for coming back to me. Would you know if the Tamiya colour is a close representation of ferrari at that scale. I was considering the Revell red but I’m not sure…[*-)]
Tamyia colors are usually pretty good.
They are. Any idea of a colour reference in the Tamiya range…Ill give it a go in gloss i think
Here is my '41 Willys in Italian Red from Testor’s right from the spray can. Ultra Gloss coat clear is the cover coat.
Hi
Try Zero paints, they do a wide selection of Ferrari colour matched paints( such as the Rosso Corsa 300 which is a very common Ferrari red).
The Zero paints are available at Hiroboy.com.
Of course you will get such a red color Ferrari and it looks awesome.
My guess is he’s just using his sig for add links
Why would I do that? and what links ? Just because I mention one place to get paint!
