Good job on the Schnellboot!

The added yellow color of the gun barrel deflectors is a nice touch.

Correct me if i am wrong, did you use real wood for the planking? If so or if not they look perfect!

I only used the material of the kit, so use on all my models.

I just used a combination of colors.

This model was the second prize of exposure among 221 models.

I am very proud of him !

Best regards of Portugal

You have a good reason to be proud of youe model, it is like…WOW!!!

Second place among 221 models is a excellent result!

I can tell your English is a bit broken, a ship is named after a female. Thus you are proud of ‘Her’

Would be interested in more information regarding your wood painting techniques.

Regards Jason

Ok you’re right, my English is very broken indeed

this is a construction kit / plastic 05002-0389 Revell 1 / 72

Sorry, but painting techniques on wood I do not know.

Paint plastic, just choose the hue of the color, you only can you choose

Speaking of Titanic ?

I bought a “kit / plastic Academy 1458 RMS Titanic 1/ 400”

I building it will as a professional

Best regards from Portugal

Sorry Alex,

My English is not that good either.

What I mean is what technique / colors do you use to paint plastic to look like wood?

I building it will as a professional

By professional do you mean being paid for the build, as in a commission build?

I’m sure the client will be impressed, post some photographs of the Titanic.

Jason

Jason (The History of the Titanic was not for you, was for John Lyle) I’m not a professional model maker

Not working for customers

painting to imitate wood,:- painted white surface; paint with brown hue that you want and then paint with very diluted ink but darker than the previous

I hope I have explained so you understand it.

Very nice build Alex… great subject too!

Thanks for sharing!

(PS, your English is a lot better than my Portugese)

Nice build…however, I am skeptical that yellow was used for the guide rails, grapling hooks and life raft…according to my refs the rails were light grey and the raft a dark grey-green…

Jason

if you want to see my best simulation in plastic of colored wood , review my post ( Cutty Sark additional … 1 / 150) of 06.07.2011
