Fantasy of Flight's TP-40N

Wayne Dippold (eagle334) recently visited the Fantasy of Flight museum (on his honeymoon, no less!) and sent me some groovy shots of Kermit’s TP-40N.

Here’s one of them…

You can see the rest of them on my site…

Thanks for the photos Wayne!

Fade to Black…

Great pics. Can’t see too many P-40’s [:)].

The person to be thanking is my new wife, Martha. She was a real trooper with a couple of days at the Kennedy Space Center then a trip to Fantasy of Flight. We even spent some time at the Frogman/UDT/Navy Seals museum in Ft. Pierce. This was mainly because her Father was one of the first Frogmen during WW II. It is kind of odd to go to a museum and see a picture and a plaque on the wall with someone you’re connected with hanging there.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

Cool pics… never seen one of those before. Nicely restored bird, isn’t she? [:)]

[tup][tup][tup][tup][tup][tup][tup][tup][tup] Great pics.

Great pictures of the P-40N. Kermit Weeks has some beautiful airplanes there. Does he still have any at his Tamiami Musuem?

Nothing in Miami. He was telling us that he closed that museum down when he built Fantasy of Flight. Mainly because he did not own the buildings and airstrip and he could not expand to build his idea of what the museum should be.
