Family Build Isherman

I am pleased to announce that my M-50 Isherman is there…I think!
This was my first try at a group build…[:D]

Thanks for looking…Dan

Dan, Great Job Indeed… I posted some more in the Sherman GB forum…(questions)

Again Beautiful work… subtle weathering. The Isherman is quite possibly the end all beat all billy bad arse example of what can be made out of a Sherman… I have loved the Isherman since seing it MANY years ago in Shep Paine’s book…

Amazing job!!! I expected nothing less from you though…

No doubt about it Dan … your IDF Sherman is there all right!!!

Great build all around.

Two thumbs up, Dan. Great build, superb paint job and impressive details.

Your work deserve nothing less.

Awesome drybrushing and subtle shading !

Great job !

I’ve always wanted to build one of these, and seeing this excellent example just reinforces that. Perhaps my favorite version of the Sherman. Great work!

Again, a beautiful build!

I have a Q about Israeli Shermans:

I thought the M-50 (welded hull, early turret, long 76mm gun) was the “Super Sherman,” and the M-51 (cast hull, T23 turret, loooong 105mm gun) was the “ISherman.”

Which is which?
A quick internet search revealed either name attached to either designation. Were those official names, or just nicknames interchangeably given to either vehicle?
Help!

Excellent job Dan!!! Looks great!

Eric

Interesting question Brian … I’ve read somewhere that the true Super Sherman is actually nothing more than the late W.W.II 76mm Shermans that the Israelis recieved in the late 40’s - early 50’s. And that the M-50 and M-51 are both Ishermans.
This should start a bit of a debate. [;)]

Dan, awsome job. I just went out a couple of days ago and baught the M51. after seeing your pics It may have moved to the top of my todo list.

Super build Dan. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you each and everyone who took the time to look…
I have enjoyed this Build and hopefully Robert will host more in the future!
