Falcon Delivered

I finished the Millenium Falcon with about an hour to spare before heading over to my cousin’s house. All I had time(or skill) to do was spray the engines a nice bright blue. The paint was a bit tacky upon delivery.I walked in the house and told him to close his eyes and hold out his hands. His Mom got a glance at it and said"That’s awesome!"I placed the model in my cousin’s hands and said "Punch it Chewie!"At this point he oped his eyes(rather widely) and got a big grin on his face. This was a very satisfying build. The model came out better than I expected since it wash the first time I’ve used a wash on an entire project.
Come to think of it,I’ve never built a kit remotely similar.I’ll post some pics when I can. Thanks to those who took the time to give me a few pointers.

That’s great. Givin’ someone a well-built, painted and detailed model usually beats toys! For this past Christmas, my two nephews had Gundam models being built at my place. They’re ages 9 and 6. I decided to give them paint jobs as Christmas presents. I didn’t finish building their models. I just painted it all up so they would be building painted models instead of bare plastic. I didn’t really expect much reaction from them. I kinda thought they’d think it was a dud of a Christmas gift, but they were extremely happy when they saw their stuff all painted up right.
