Not historically accurate but nice all the same. No sun at the mo so only indoors pics i’m affraid!
Nice - I’m surprised there aren’t more forced-perspective setups, makes an interesting story.
Hi. Thanks for the reply. I wanted to have a go at ships and sea while building the Swordfish. This seemed like a good way to display the model. I guess you could add a background and hide the pole but I didn’t want that extra complexity. Quite hard drilling the side out without damaging the model.
Very interesting, not something commonly seen. My only suggestion would be make sure you get light on the base as well, so you don’t get the giant shadow. Other than that, looks good to me. And for your set up, the backdrop with a side mount would not work anyway because the scene should be viewed from the top, not the side.
Very nice presentation!!
Very nice & pretty cool!
I don’t often comment on builds to be honest, but thought the Bismark built was pretty good as well - like has been said, you don’t see them every day & they do add interest[Y]
DTR2: Great work on the two dios, love the idea and they came out great!!! Only nitpick I’d have is to maybe just a plastic disk instead of the prop to make it look like it’s spinning. Just nitpicking there though, great work!
Thanks for the replies. I thought about a spinning prop but didn’t want to ruin the model. Spinning props always look a bit fake unless done rearly well.
