fading paint on Zero

I have used Future floor polish successfully as a sealing gloss coat but now I need to use it with tamiya flat base for dulling down the paint on an aging Zero. How much (what ratio) should I mix with my Future?[%-)]

Let me see if I can follow you… You need to know the ratio of flat to Future mix? Since you already have the future on as a gloss coat, I would just apply the flat with out mixing it with the future…

If this is not what you are asking please correct me…

Here’s a link to Swanny’s website with lots of info on Future, including some ideas for mixing it with Tamiya flat base for flat coats. [tup]

Normie, I use about a 4:1 ratio, future to tamiya flat base. Don’t ever spray just plain flat base, as it will look white and chalky on your finish. 4:1 is pretty darn flat!

Tamita’s Flat is an ADDITIVE, eg you ADD the white goo to (gloss) paint or Future to flat it out.
Follow Swanny’s method, I did, & it ‘does what it says on the tin!’ [:P]
Use Fresh Tamiya Flat, Mix well & I used 1 gloop of goo to 4 squirts of future to mat out the future!
Of course your milage may vary…
