Well, I couldn’t live with the decal seatbelt. So…for the first time, I have entered the world of scratch work. I welcome criticism. I know the buckles are too large for scale, but I was working with “plastic paper” and couldn’t make them any smaller - more a reflection of my skill than the material.
Thanks for the kind words. It’s hard to type because I can’t feel my fingertips for all the superglue on them. (I had an “accident” - at least I didn’t glue myself to anything too painful to remove!) It actually looks better in person because the hyper close up shows every flaw and brush makr as well as the fact that I didn’t take the decal off. Oh well. The masking tape worked great as belt material, but I think I will use PE buckles in the future.
kik - thanks for the offer to let me have your extra decal - I do appreciate it.
See the thing that breaks my heart is that all this work will mean nothing when I screw up the paint job on the exterior of the plane! [:(!]
LOL…Mike, don’t be to hard on yourself…I’m the same way…I can pull off the interior, but I’m still struggling with the Exterior!!! Just remember that at least planes are meant to be dirty!!! And the war planes never had a perfect paint job!!!
