The Hasegawa series of kits of the F4 are probably the best currently available. Eduard is rumoured to be releasing a newly tooled sries in 2009, but that remains to be seen.

Accurate Miniatures has one but it’s 1/72 [:I]

The Accurate Miniatures one is the old Monogram F-4J. I’ve heard it said that this was a top notch kit and I’ve heard it was a so-so kit. I know I’ll be picking up at least two, I have to have Showtime 100 in my collection.
The Monogram 1/48 series of USAF and USN kits have raised panel lines and some inaccuracies in the aft cockpit, but are actually pretty good models for a very reasonable price. You will probably need to use aftermarket decals as most of the ones in the kit look like they were printed on a sheet of plexiglass.

If you want a Vietnam Era F-4E, Go with the ProModeler kit. I fits wonderfully, almost no flash, and wonderful decals. Probably one of the best F-4’s out there. Go for it if you can find it. Did I mention it’s in 1/48th?
Good luck![:D]

…but both the ProModeler and Hasegawa kits require you to remove that “hump” on the wings, which is really annoying to me. And I’ve never been able to completely hide the seam which results when attaching the wings to the upper fuselage. The Monogram kit doesn’t have those problems. However, the Monogram kit has troublesome stabilators. With those problems aside, I really like both kits.
The ProModeler and Hasegawa F-4E’s are the same molding with the ProModeler being a reboxed Hasegawa.
