f4 corsair what was fabric?

i’m currently working on the corsair and putting bullet holes in it but i geuss i need to know what part of the plane was fabric and what wasn’t.i received alot of help from the bullet holes post and probably should’ve put this into that post but didn’t think of it so thanks for yalls help[8D]

Rudders, vertical and hrizontal stabs where fabric.

If it is an early Corsair, also the wing outboard of the fold line from the spar to the aileron cove was fabric covered

I knew i forgot something[:D]

It changed alot. The early corsairs f4U-1,1A,2,1C, and 1D’s had fabric where most of the others have already said. F4U-4, 5, 5N, and I think the F2G-2 started getting away from it. From the AU-1 (F4U-6) on up to the french F4U-7 had no fabric at all. This is from memory so I may be worng, but it should be close. Some of the corasir buffs should be able to correct me.

On the F4U-1 through -4 the rudder, elevators, and outer wing center panels were fabric covered. the ailerons were covered in plywood.
