F2A-3 Buffalo conversion

I’ve got a Tamiya 1/48 F2A-2 Buffalo that I’d like to convert to an F2A-3. I’m interested in hearing from anyone who knows about the Red Roo models conversion kit or any other available conversion kits for the F2A-3

Thanks in advance,
baroose

G’day Baroose,

The REDROO conversion for the Buffalo 339-23, as used by the RAAF consists of these resin bits: a Seat, Spinner and backing Plate, Tail cone, Tail wheel, Armour Plate.
White Metal Prop and Fac formed canopy.
REDROO also do two decal sheets: a Mk I for a 453 Squadron RAAF, Singapore 1941. Photo of above model, [not built by me, but a friend], also a 25 Squadron RAAF of A51-13 flown from Pierce Western Australia 1942.

You will need to fit a ring and bead sight to make the Mk I as used in Singapore and a reflector type gun site to make the 339 version, as the model in the photo of the Mk I, shows the telescope site which is wrong.

There web site for REDROO is http://www.redroomodels.com

Hope this helps
Rob.
