Woohoo! My superdetail 1:48 F-14A cockpit arrived this morning. The detail is incredible!! It’s the Aries kit for the Hasegawa make, but my Tomcat is made by Revell (Jolly Rogers, USS Nimitz) So i’ve spent this evening filing, sanding and sawing, and it fits in pretty well - So it’s not just for Hasegawa kits! [^]
My question is, what colours do I paint the cockpit? The cockpit didn’t come with any colour codes - All I have to go on is the picture on the box…[:(]
if there are any F-14 techies out there, or sites with info, that would be muchly appreciated [:)]

Heh…I’m thinking about getting the superdetail landing gear for this bird (Also “only” for the Hasegawa kits)
same as every other Naval aircraft
gull grey overall.
avionics panels are flat black
most knobs are light gray, and most switches are bare metal
in the tomcat, the MFDs are greenish (as opposed to orange in some other a/c)
as much as many people like to paint CWS lights to add color, unless the batteries are on, they won’t be lit.
The basic cockpit interior color is Dark Gull Grey ( FS36231 ).
