Did the F-8E’s leak? I do not have any pics of them with any leaks.
Every Navy aircraft leaked when they got old! I’m going out on a limb here but since the F-8’s younger brother (the A-7) leaked like there was no tomorrow I would say that the F-8 leak at least half as bad as the A-7. If you are doing a new F-8 then it would not lead that much, if the jet was at least two years old or has done a cruise on a carrier, make sure you put some drip pans under your model or your table is going to have a puddle in the morning.[:D]
That was one of the first things I was taught when I joined U.S. Naval Aviation.

Thank guys, do you have any pics, of the leaks?
The F8 had the P&W, J-57 engine, which was an oil leak looking for a place to happen. If it didn’t leak, it was out of oil.
