I am building a 1/32 F-4J and would like suggestions for cockpit colors. I know its is dark gull gray in full scale but it looks a little dark should I lighten it?[:D]
I use Humbrol 127 as the basic color. It’s a little lighter but if you make some weathering it came up ok. The effect of the black instruments is better with that color…

Should be FS 36231 with black sills. If you need painting help on the seats (mostly black), go to www.ejectionsite.com and you’ll have more info than you need.
Use the dark gull grey for the base color. Add a little white, maybe 20%, & dry brush. This will bring out detail & give the cockpit a lived in appearance.
