F-4 Phantom question

Hi guys!

I’m working on the Accurate Miniatures 1/72 scale F-4J. It doesn’t call out the color to use in the speed brake well nor the inner surface of the speed brake itself. I want to say both are red but I was never an expert at all the nuances of theh Phantom anatomy.

FYI, I’m working on a Marine variant used during the Vietnam War if that helps any (VMFA-333).

Thanks for your help!

Eric

I believe it is white wells, and red doors.

Hope you’ll join our Phantom group build over on the “group builds” site! There’s some good info and building going on. Love to see your “Shamrocks” bird on the build.

Glenn

Seems that was the consensus there as well:

Thank you Glenn! I tend to not join the group builds but that’s solely because I never know if one of my builds will last a couple of weeks or eight months. I don’t always get to build as often as I would like due to work, school and family obligations. But maybe I will post some pics in the Phantom GB when I’m done.

Thank you for your help on the subject! I’m at my basement workbench right now with the laptop on my table. Now I can paint the bottom. [:)]
