Good morning. Here’s my latest work: an F-20B/N Tigershark from the VFC-111 Sundowners aggressor squadron in 1/48 scale. The Freedom Modelkits kit really surprised me with its quality, and I only had a problem with one air intake. Here are some photos. I hope you like it. Best regards.
That turned out so very well. The colors look great, and I love the Rising Sun on the rudder.

I used oils, burnt sienna and bitumen, and I wore it down with a brush soaked in White Spirit and retouched with a cotton swab.

A few years back my wife and I hired a fly fishing guide in Key West and were getting thrashed by barracuda right off NAS Key West. Suddenly the Sun Downers were doing run-ups and then touch-and-gos with us just a few hundred yards off the riprap. The colorful paint jobs were so fun to see – and talk about LOUD.
This is a great job @Criadus_Modeler! The colors and weathering are spot-on. I’m adding this kit to my wish list. I’ll display it right next to my barracuda grip-and-grin photo.

Thank you so much for your comment. I used AK Interactive’s Real Color paints, in case you’d like me to give you the reference. The kit is good, even though I wasn’t familiar with that brand.

Holy smokes Dave! You pulled that build off very well buddy. I’ve liked the look of these F-20’s for a LONG time with their sleek and aggressive looks and really love to see good builds of them…like…this one here.

Fantastic job. I’m a big fan of the aggressors and have a budding squadron on my shelves. Also a big fan of the F-20/F-5/T-38 family of aircraft so this is right in my sweet spot. I did the old Monogram F-5 aggressor in VFC-111 desert camo but I sure would like to add this one to the collection. Excellent finish on this one my friend.

Great job, it gives me a wonderful look at what could have been, if the F-20 had been produced. I was an engineering technician at the company that was developing the fuel control for this plane. I really wanted this plane to be made.

I love this aircraft aesthetically. I can’t speak to its avionics and performance because I only know that there were three prototypes (I think), of which only one is still standing. I sincerely believe it could have been a very good replacement for the F-5. Thank you very much.
Called the greatest airplane not to make into production. Lot’s of juicy rumor mill around all of that.
