Hi guys, back again with another question for the modern jet connoisseurs. A few months ago I built an 1/48 Revell F18 Hornet. Nice kit but a bit disappointing in the weapons dpt (IMO). On my bench now there is a 1/48 RoG Rafale B being decaled (Tiger Meet 2006). The kit came with 6 GBU-12’s. Is that bomb used on the F18’s? If so, which pylons should I use and where do I find them?

If you’ve got the pylons on the F-18 already, that’s all you need, just sling the bombs right on em.
When my bro was in Iraq (F-18D WSO), their typical loadout would be:
looking at the plane, head on, from left to right:
1.Tip- Aim-9
2000# JDAM or Maverick missle
fuel tank
(center) Lightning pod (FLIR)
fuel tank
2x GBU-12
tip- AIM-9

Thank you SOOOO much for your help Fermis. I bookmarked the post to come in a short while and try to replicate that paint scheme on the GBU 12. As for the Rafale, very nice kit. I want to add the single seater from Hobby Boss. My only complaint with the Revell, is the markings for the Tiger Meet version. They are non-glossy with a resemblance to temporary tattoos. They have been reluctant to respond even to SOLVASET. I have had to resort to a new #11 exacto blade for the panel lines and my scribbling tool to go over every single rivet to help Solvaset do its job.
