So, I just picked up one of the Tamiya 1/48 CJ’s and I cant wait to start on it. On the last F-16 that I built I had a really hard time getting the front fuselage making done perfectly. (Where the gunship grey and the Light Ghost grey come together in that sweet curve)
whats the best method for getting this right. I want to have an ever so feathered edge there.
Thx
One method is to use the paining guide in the kit as a mask. Enlarge it to match the size of the kit and the cut out and tape it to the model where it is is slightly off the surface to give a feathered effect. Or you can pencil on the color demarcation line and try to freehand the curve. In both cases I suggest putting the lighter gray down first, then mask or the mark the line, and apply the darker gray.
