When the canopy is up are the seats higher than when the canopy is closed? I read a review (Revell, 1/48) where the canopy would not fit right closed because of the seat.
Are you refering to the “real” seats or the model? No way they would be too high in the real plane for them to obstruct the canopy from closing! Now in the model kit they probably just “engineered” them wrong!
All aircraft’s ejection seats have “limit” switches which will not allow the seat to come in contact with the canopy. Seats do have a maintenance position where it can be raised higher than normal if work needs to be done under it but, there are a number of conection which have to be undone before it can be rasied to this hight.
Yeah, I was referring to the real aircraft. They will probably just need to be sanded a little.
ROFL the real seat will be hard to sand!!! [:D] [:p]
