F-14A Hobby Boss Wow!

I got my Hobby Boss F-14A kit today and opening that big box, I was zapped by the sheer number of parts inside. There are also two smaller grey boxes inside keeping safe the more delicate parts. The detail on the parts are fantastic. There are panels underneath the fuselage that has details I have never seen in any airplane kit. The landing gear chamber has wiring details reminiscent of the Revell and ProModeller kits but finer. Of course it has recessed panel lines. The cat has five sheets of decals. It also has a choice of markings, one for USS Nimitz and the other for USS John F. Kennedy. It also has a small PE sheet containing some brass details and a circular disc for the nose radar which can be opened or closed as desired. I can’t wait to start the build but I have to tread lightly. This is not a simple kit. I got it for USD46.51. It is worth all the money I paid for.

Indeed,

Hobby Boss packs the value & quality in many kits. Looking forward to building one, have a 1/48 scale T-34M 1943 in the ‘plastic removed from the box’ stage LOL Peeked at the instructions as well, dare to dream!

I have the Hobby Boss A-10 and thought the same thing when I opened the box.

The A-10 and the Hornet are two kits that started me off with Hobby Boss. I have started the A-10 but on a very early stage yet. It looked very good too as well as the F-18. Can we look forward to a Phantom F4-C?
