F-100C

I’ll tweak the finish a bit more as the project evolves.

Here is where I ended last night, the wings are just test fitted. Leaving the wings off until later makes painting and decaling the fuselage much easier. I’ve started the shining up process. I’ll be adding some other colors to highlight other panels.

Looks great so far Gerald. Keep up the excellent work.

Regards, Rick

Wow, you’re flying through this guy Gerald! Looks good. [tup]

Here is Gerald’s step-by-step guide. (I doubt that I can duplicate this in 30 minutes.) It sure is a great tip.

He also started a Building Journal.

Part II is now posted.

Pt III Is now available.

Great progress on this one, Gerald! Thanks for the tip on mixing the blue enamel into the SNJ, I wasn’t aware that you could get away with that.

The NMF and Orange scheme is really stunning, even with the model still in pieces. Kinda makes me want to break out an F-104 and build a test sled… [:D]

Go for it! Another subject with a hot tail!

Yessir! I have a couple of Starfighters in the stash, and the whole time I was reading your “hot metal” tutorial I was thinking, “Yep, I’m swiping this for my F-104s.” [:D]

Gerald - the build is looking great, and that tutorial on replicating the burn-through is going to be VERY useful! [:D]

Very nice build so far. I also thought of doing a 104 after watching the video.
