OK I need help here. I ordered some extra fine sharpie paint markers from Amazon at the end of April, and they never showed up [:‘(] Amazon refunded my money with out a problem since it was the seller that never sent them or what ever. No my issue is trying to find them elsewhere, I have already looked at hobby lobby and Micheals’, even office max/depot and Hobby Lobby carriers a couple of the ones that I ordered but they want almost $5 a pen. Does anyone know of a site other than eBay that I might be able to find them at? I really don’t have the time to search all over the Las Vegas valley and I need them for some of my builds. Any help would be great.
You could try Blick Art Materials. They have a store in Vegas, or you could order from them online for about $3 a pen. Call first before wasting your gas. Home Depot says they carry the Sharpie black paint pen at about $2 a pen, but I’m frankly doubtful. I can never seem to find what I’m looking for whenever I go there.
Blacksmith,
Thanks for the info. I called the Blick Art here in Vegas. Not only are they just up the road from me they have the ones that I am looking for cheaper than what I was going to end up paying on Amazon.
Don’t thank me, thank the Google. If you ask it just right and don’t hit it too much, sometimes you get an almost correct answer! Seriously, glad to help. I know the frustration of knowing EXACTLY what you need and not finding it ANYWHERE.
Souda, I’m glad you were able to find the pens. Not sure if you’ll need this tidbit of info but I found mine at a local teachers supply store. The place has a really good art supply section and they have those very pens there.

I just picked up black and white oil Sharpie markers at Michael’s, buy one get the second at 50% off.
Do folks mainly use them for instrument panel dials?
Eric
Eric,
Someone here on the forums suggested them to me, and you can use them for instrument panels and cockpit details. I mainly use them for pilot house windows, flight deck markings and other details on my 1/350 and 1/700 ships. I have two ships that I have been using as test beds for techniques and weathering and I have found that the markers help create to me at least a more realistic weathering effect on the flight decks. I know you can do the same with the decals as well but I have found sometimes its easier to paint some of the markings versus the decals especially with my 1/700 ships because some of the decals are just so small.

IP’s are my main reason, better than using an 18/0 brush.
Concur Michal’s has them.
