exterior color for Bradley

What color will I paint the exterior of the Bradley fighting vehicle? Thanks for your reply in advance

Hey Ed, welcome to the site. Well the Bradley can be depicted in a few different schemes. You can paint it in three tone Nato scheme or you can paint in it’s Desert Sand. I am not one for modern armor, but Tamiya Acylics offer a nice range of Nato colors. Hope this helps.

Cheers

Rob

Model Master desert sand can’t be beat for a desert scheme.

I’m planning on doing my Bradley, Abrams, and Hummer in the Testor’s Desert Sand as a dio. From others I’ve seen posted here, the M2 looks great in sand. JMHO.

Hi ed,

If you’re planning to use Tamiya Acrylics or Enamels, you can use the “desert yellow” color. However, you might find it a bit on dark orange side(as I do). If you do, you can lighten it up a bit. Pastels will be a good finisher for desert armor.

Good Luck.

Model Master makes the perfect color, US Army/Marines Gulf Armor Sand the number is 4812. Its perfect for any Gulf armor especially after giving it the weathering and highlights.

thanks everyone.
you have all been very helpful. I used Tamiya Acrylic Desert Yellow and didnt find it realistic. You are right Dwight, I should lighten it to match the pictures of Bradleys I see.

I like the sand colour, its nice and easy to use and get good weathering experiance and practice, but next time I will be doing the 3 tone. More of a challenge.
