Excellent new Osprey book....

Ordered it a few weeks back from the Military Book Club I was a member of on a whim because the due date for ordering my last book was up-- and it’s pretty good-- it’s WWII US Army Fighter Modeling by Jerry Scutts & Brett Green. It’s full of info on getting started, available products and references, and construction techniques. Even a table of what the different types of bombs, rockets, and drop tanks should be painted. Haven’t started reading it yet-- but it’s a whopping 127 pages (including appendices) and looks to be as great as my Terrain Modeling book from Osprey.

Sounds good. This is a great series of ‘how to’ books…!

Thanks for the heads up Jeeves. I’ll be looking for it. By the way, what does it run?

from my club-- with the usualy shipping and handling, it was $27-- but if you grabbed it from amazon or had your Barnes & Noble order it for you-- it’s probably under $20.

Jeeves is right. It’s an excellent book, and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys building WWII aircraft. My dad got a copy with his book club (same one maybe), so I don’t know how much it sells for. The tips and articles are definetly worth the reading.
