ever had tweezers take some paint off a part?

well i have while ive been imstalling a piece with tweezers…it was just a small scratch coz of the hard edges on the tweezers…
well last night i had this idea… i got some insulation from some wire, maybe about 3-5mm in diameter, pulled the wire out and then stretched the insulation over the tweezer tips… a hairdryer could come in handy here, but i did it late at night… and wallah, u have a pair of tweezers which still has all the control of before, with some added TLC :slight_smile:

hey i just had the thought of ruffing up the wire with sandpaper to give more grip, but i think its fine how it is…

cool! thanks! I hadn’t thought of that but may try it… should help keep from digging into them if they are hard to hold on to with the tweezers too…

Great idea! What I have now is masking tape rolled around my tweezer tips, so it’ll be a good time to try on insulation or shrinkable tubing.

yea i was using gaffa tape (cloth tape) but i wasnt to happy with the results… using insulation is much better i feel…
