Eurofighter Typhoon "30+90" "Richthofen" (Bundesluftwaffe) (Revell 1/72)

One of the kits I wanted to build as of late was Revell’s Richthofen themed Eurofighter Typhoon. However, I didn’t have the correct colour for it, so it was always put in the backburner while I built even more WW2 aircraft. Fast forward to May, a friend travelled to Miami, so I asked him of he could get me Vallejo’s Pale Blue Grey, a colour I thought would be close to the Bundesluftwaffe’s shade. The colour was the correct one, so I happily painted my Typhoon.

The biggest issue with this kit were the decals. Even though they were printed by Cartograf, they were really thick, and Microsol didn’t even affect them. So, I grabbed the nuclear option, Mr. Mark Softer, and that made them conform to the curves of the model.

Overall, a very fun kit, different to all my WW2 builds.

Looks nice, good job. Nothing building an out of the comfort zone kit.

Turned out really good. Looks like you were able to tame the decals. I’ve never used Mr. Mark softener. Have you ever used Solvaset, and if so, which one is stronger. Thanks in advance. Congrats!!

Sorry for the late reply, I’ve never used Solvaset because I don’t have a seller in Argentina. However, I read it’s the strongest softener out there, which can react with the paint in bad ways. Softer is stronger than Sol, perfect for Tamiya and Hasegawa decals.

I think that your Eurofighter turned out great. I really like the colors on the rudder and the spine of the fuselage. I have the 1/32 Revell kit of this plane and would love to do it in this color scheme some day.
