I recently bought a revell of Germany 1:32 scale F4U corsair. It must be an old kit. The panel lines are raised and the model in the box has tons of flash. The cockpit leaves a lot to be desired. I purchased an aftermarket resin cockpit that looks nicely detailed. My question here is, are there preferred epoxy cements for working with resin or is superglue the better choice. This is my first time working with resins.

My preference is to use CA (super glue) on small parts and to hold larger ones in place, and to reinforce larger concealed joins with epoxy. The brands I like are Loctite CA and 5 Minute Epoxy; others will probably weigh in with their favorites and there are other good choices. Mine is based on easy availability and shelf life.
Be sure to wear a dust mask while sanding and wash all the parts well before joining. I use Wesley’s Bleach White from the auto parts store and a good long rinse to get rid of any mold release on the resin.

I use Gorilla Super Glue Gel and it works within 10 seconds and the part is there to stay.
I generally use CA (usually the thicker, gel type) wherever it will work, and it does work fine on urethane resin. I save epoxy for those places where I need more stength, because it is just harder to use (requires mixing).
Another place I use epoxy is on clear parts. While CA bonds the clear plastic, it will often fog it. Epoxy will not fog clear plastic, yet produces a stronger bond than window cement.
Bob Smith Industries. I use the purple bottle which is medium thin. This is great for small gaps, and still gluing things together. The thicker get is also great for filling big gaps.
