Hi there guys!
After some time away from the forum here I present to you my latest buid:
It´s a EMB-326 Xavante (a Embraer licenced build Aermacchi 326) the kit is the old Italeri (ex ESCI I belive) 1/48 scale kit. Is finished in the colours of the Armada Argentina (Argentina´s navy)
The kit have great engraved surface detail, and the kit was great (I used putty in few places and that´s because I made some mistakes during the build) but the interior detail is quite poor… It includes Argentinian decals (two versions) but the decals as the colour references presented errors, I used aftermarket decals and resin ejection seats.
The intention was to build this kit like I used to build kits with my dad when I was a kid (I build one model per weekend) I still remember those great weekends siting with him on the dinner table builing models, not worrying for much, just having fun building the thing.
I have been builing poor limited run kits, complicated projects, or conversions for a copuple of years now so I needed a brake from that.
In this spirit I buil the kit in maybe 4 or 5 days during 3 or 4 weekends.
In the end was a fun kit to build even considering that the decals were a pain in the :-X since they were very soft and easily distorted when I apply them to trhe model, my dying airbrush and the old matt coat didn´t help much either, also there is a great deal of controversy with the colours of this plane… In the end I had a great deal of fun builing the kit and I´m quite happy with the result.
As usually any coments or critics will be wellcome.
Regards to all
Jeremias
