This is my first time trying to use Elmer’s. Do you put it on as sparingly as other cements or do you allow a bit more cement for the canopy to ‘grab’ on to? I tried using a really thin coat and it doesn’t seem to want to stick very well. What am I doing wrong?
I use Elmer’s as well, and usually put on a fair amount for it to squirt out a little and fill any gaps around the glass to fuse joint. Then, I use a DAMP Q-tip of water and gently wipe off the glue that squirts out leaving just what I need in the joint to fill it. Beauty of Elmers is you cvan take that Q-tip and wipe off any residue for a long time. The other night, I used one to wipe the glue off of a windscreen that I glued on in June of 2006. HTH!
