Eduard's Tempests

I am trying to decide on whether to buy the regular kit or the Profipack kit. Granted-- ideally- the Profipack is better for details, etc…but I have a question-- the box art for the regular early Mk. V version shows the markings I want to model of Roland Beamont’s ride. The pics I have seen from the Profipack kit shows markings for Flying Officer Ted Kosh. I am wondering if both kits have the same decals?? If so-- I’ll go with the PP…but if not, I am inclined to settle for less. Just hoping someone here might be in the know…

I have the Prof pack version, and I do not see those markings listed. It is still good with the resin and etched in it though. Maybe some of the markings could be used from your spares box to get the right codes.

The decals are different sheets. The Profipack is a pretty good deal, but does not have the markings you want. There are ( or were ) aftermarket sheets from Aeromaster, but I don’t recall if those markings were included.

Jeeves - I built this one from the regular issue of the kit, when it was first released. Its an old build, done back in my days of “experimentation” with scale color, and is missing the boarding step and an antenna on the underside. If I remember, I had to cut open the canopy. The panel lines are a little shallow for a wash. But, here’s what the kit looks like without the resin & photoetch.

Hmm…decisions decisions [;)]

I looked through all the Aeromaster sheets (I think there are like 8 volumes of them for the Tempest) but nary a one for Beamont, which I find strange.

I may go with the older kit and then get some AM stuff from somewhere else…DrewH-- unfortunately, my decal spares are noticeable scarce [:(] If anyone might still have their decals from the older kit and would be willing to part with them, I’m offering to trade or pay for them…

I know that feeling, try Tally Ho decals. They do several sheets of generic british markings. They are only about 4-5 bucks a sheet and will definantly come in handy later on as well. I know FlightDecs has them and probably in stock at http://flightdecs.ca/

Hello JEEEEEVESSSS!

It’s just roles out the tong like that, dosent it?

Well jeeves if you’ll go to www.eduard.cz (or www.eduard.com, I think it depends where you live on this globe) you’ll be able to look into any aircraft’s instruction sheet, there you’ll find the colour and decal section, you will need an acrobat reader (which I assumme everybody have…)
enjoy, JEEEEEEVEEES. Sorrey could’nt resist…
