Has anyone of you tried them?
Are you supposed to use them with the kits cockpit or can you use them
with any other aftermarket resin cockpit like Aires?
Just thought that I should try them out to see what their like.
All the information you give me, is as per usual very much appreciated. [:D]
I haven’yt used a pre-painted set before, but they are just like the un-painted ones with paint one them. They are more expensive than plain ones, so I haven’t bothered with them yet. They can be used however you want to. You’d probably get the most benifit from them if you use them with the kits cockpit. A resin replacement usually includes alot of the detail supplied by the PE set, so it’s not as much of an improvement.

I’ve used them on a couple cockpits and have them for my Acc. Min. Avenger. I like them. They offer a higher level of detail that would take a lot of time otherwise. And I’m doing a lot of other detail work on the planes so I can use the time elsewhere.
Like the first reply says, you can use them anyway you want - use your artistic license - but resin aftermarket cockpipt sets usually have a pretty high degree of detail that you may not want to lose by sticking PE parts over it.
[#ditto] to all of the above. also dont aires cockpits come with pe parts? all the ones ive ever bought did.
Here is a color set used with a resin pit for the Hasegawa 32nd Mustang. I think that these sets are great.

And again in 48th scale on the Tamiya bubbletop:

Thank you very, very much for your comments guys.
I really appreciate it.
Thank you. [:D][:D][:D]
Crockett,
Thanks for the pictures! They look good. I’ll have to try a set after the 1:1 scale kitchen I’m working on for the wife! Looking about August!
