Great job as usual Mike! Fantastic, have one in my stash. After seeing you pics it will have to stay there a while longer! [bow][bow][bow]
WOW! Beautifully done Pup. The wood grain looks just right, and the color appears spot on. What did you use for the overall color? [tup]
Looks good, great job on the rigging and woodgrain.
PC10 is Floquil Pullman Green, CDL is Testors Panzer Buff. It doesn’t show in the pics but I also “pre-shade” the ribs on the undersides with brown. Looks good in person [:D]
Nice Job! I am really impressed by the realistic woodgrain finish!
I have not mastered that skill, yet…
It looks very nice.
There were some bracing wires on the landing structure though, which I do not see on your model. If you Google “Sopwith Pup” you can get some images of these wires and their attachment points.
Exceptional work on the Sopwith, especially the rigging and wood grain.

Wow, really stunning work. Everyone’s making me so jealous, I haven’t had much time for modelling lately. Beautiful work.
Another beauty [tup]. Thanks for sharing.
Regards, Rick
Okay…nice build…now…can you roll it aside? It sits atop my golfball!
Truly…a very nice build…great photos too!
Hey Mike,
Sweet build indeed my friend… I have one of them in my stah and I am really looking forward to starting it soon…
Question w/ the wood grain?!?!? How did you represent it? Whats your technique that you used?
Thank you once again and thank you for the help…
Flaps up,
Mike

Start with a mustard yellow then streak on some burnt sienna oil paint. Play with it until it looks right. Once it is dry coat with Future.
Hey Mike,
Thank you for the info… Seems very simple…!!
Thanks again

Awww, Man! That Pup-A-Do-Do is
just too Cool-Cool!
Wonderful work! Uhh… shouldn’t the beverage holder be on an inboard strut, closer to the cockpit? wink [;)]
Always a treat to see a bipe posted here, and extra-special when the quality of the work is jaw-dropping. Nice job, Mike! [tup]
Greetings mstanley,
A very decent build of this old kit! I like the overall appearance and the down low - eye level attitude of your photographs. May I suggest one addition? On the original aircraft the strut ends have black metal end caps attached to joint them into the locator sockets in the wings and fuselage. Possibly a bit of black on yours would be very cool. But none the less a fine effort. Model On!
