Anyone have this kit in their stash?
It has to be the first release version 2019 orange box top.
Are you looking for a set of decals Karl? Can not give the kit away! If you plan to build a specific option I could part with the needed decals …

No a model shop has the kit in stock the orange box one and need to know if the decals are the old type before they added the new carrier film.
As I said I have the revised version dating 2023 but I think the 2019 kit may have the older decals.
If this makes sense?

Now it is clear to me! My kit has the old decals. But I have seen orange boxes with the new type, too. You can spot the difference, the old decals look nice and shiny while the new decals are kind of patchy satin with quite a lot film around. Somewhere early in 2023 Eduard changed the decals once more. The film was reduced, the decals look very shiny again and perform so far without any problems for me.

I’ll have to ring the shop and double check if it’s the kit with the old decals.
I know how to remove the film as just done it on a 1/72 kit but would prefer decals that I don’t need to do.

To be honest, I never bothered about this topic! I just use the decals as normal - closs varnish, decals on, satin varnish for sealing - and never had a problem. In some cases the decals are visible dead flat at a certain angle, but it is possibly to my own mistake somehow. This was solved with the new new type so far. I built a Tornado some time ago covered with the older new decals and it turned out absolutely fantastic!
