Eduard Bf-108 Taifun Weekend Edition

This is the Eduard Bf-108 Taifun in 1/48th scale. It’s a fun weekend kit, though I took longer but I could have finished it in a weekend…

Enjoy!

These are a little fuzzy because I got lazy and didn’t put my macro lens on…

John,

Excellent work on this one! The airbrushing looks very good, and the overall finish is very well done. Thanks for the pics! [tup]

Very Nice!I really like the Trop Cammo!

Very nice build of a nice kit. Thanks for sharing.

Regards, Rick

Very well done. Nice finish…

Andy

Great looking build!

I might have to get me one of those…of course it will be done in US markings as it was used after the war as an Embassy support aircraft and had a US Cargo plane designation.

Nice Build! [tup]

Good work on a rarely seen model.

Rossjr,

Very nice. Love the camo and the subject. I like the less often modeled aircraft.

Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding finish on this one. Looks like a pretty good build, can’t see any seams or anything. The wash is a tad dark for my tastes. Is it black? Perhaps a wash of burnt umber or burnt sienna would have been a bit more subtle. That said, what did you use for flat coat? It’s so… even and smooth. Wish mine looked like that…

Excellent work for such a quick build! Really captures the look of that aircraft!

I did use a black wash on this, it’s a new product and I wanted to give it a try. It was black or dark gray and I thought the black would work best.

I used Model Master Lacquer Clear Flat, I’ve always had good luck with it…

Top-Drawer, all the way.

Achen de size nic! (sp?)

Did’ya ever notice one of the features that Messerschmitt put on just about every single one of his designs, the stabilizer mounted through the fin?

Very nice job. Ive only ever seen the desert scheme. It would look cool in a splinter. Does the weekend kit only have markings for the desert scheme?

…Guy

The weekend kit only came with one scheme, get the profile pak and it will have the PE set along with a few other scheme’s, if memory serves correctly…

That is a very nice build. The paint job is very nice and the overall finish is smooth and looks real. Did you do the green paint freehand or some sort of masks, its very well done. The only tip I have on the build is that with such a large canopy you should have painted the frames interior colour first before the exterior colour. Very good job.

Steve

Beautiful job! Really excellent.

Thanks Steve, I normally do paint them the interior color first but I ran out of RLM02. So since it was the weekend and the stores were closed… I got lazy

very nicely done… weekend? Jeez, I wish I got those results in a month!

thanks for sharing, cheers!
