3 P-40’s 1 large decal sheet to cover 4 aircraft sweet!!! Hopefully fermis doesn’t find out about this.

The AMT P-40s are a good deal-at least I think so-I built the old E version (AMTech) and aside from the fuselage/tail section ‘mis-match’ (corrected with a saw and some patience) it builds up quite nicely…and without the high prices of the Hasegawa kits. I ended up buying the same 3 pack as you did plus a 3 pack of E’s (with the corrected fuselage/tail). I’ve gotta wonder if the eBay seller has the molds in his garage and just pops out kits as needed…

now to find more decals for them so there can be more options. How many P-40F 3 packs did you buy?

I just got one 3 pack, that’s enough for one version of one type of plane. I’ve got a few other P-40’s so a 3 pack of one was enough. I would like to find other decals though, there are a couple of the decal schemes I dont care for like the all black one. I’d a plane OD/NG one.

I wonder if these kits will have the resin nose’s?

You mean the Spinners? I have no clue if they do or not. I do need to get the Eduard sets for them though. LOL

I found a review yesterday when I was researching the kit before I made the purchase, it says there is a resin nose in the kit, I’ll find it.

Really surprised! Got my kits from the ebay seller today after ordering them after ordering them late friday night!!! Good seller, really well packaged! I’d buy from that guy again.

So, there was no resin nose in any of the kits but oh well on that. The kits look good in the bags, I may go with some aftermarket wheels but thats probably about it. Though I would like to find at least one OD/NG cammo scheme. There are a couple of the schemes I dont care for.

And man! The panel lines on these is ereally really fine!

LOL I got mine today too just haven’t opened the box yet. But I did find a bunch of P-40F decals all for the same fighter group made by Kit World decals. I believe the P-40F only fought in North Africa and Italy.
