As in this picture, the canopy on the EA6B is a shiny gold. Is there anyway to get that on a model?
I`ve heard of guys tinting future and applying it to the canopy. Also, Tamiya makes translucent paint that may work…not sure if they have translucent gold though.
I would try tinting Future with a mixture of orange and yellow (probably 90/10 or 80/20 of yellow/orange).
I know Testors makes a decent gold enamel (in the old square jars) - I wonder if it can be mixed with something like Future and sprayed?

Tamiya makes a clear yellow you can spray on the inside of the canopy.
Dwood - tinted Future works fine. It coats and tints with simple dipping a few times to get the color intensity you want, and it’s easy and cheap. I think the color in your photo is exaggerated by the low sun angle, but the upper canopies were definitely gold/gold-gray tinted. Here’s my Hasegawa with slightly tinted Future-dipped upper canopies, although the gold doesn’t show too well here.

Enamel will not mix well with Future. Future is water soluble, enamel is oil soluble.
This would literally be like mixing oil and water.
I guess I should have emphasized the “like” part - as in, a product similar to Future ( a clear, self-leveling carrier), but compatible with enamels.

I dont think there is an enamel product that has the properties that Future has...at least that I know of. Like mentioned above, Tamiya has a clear yellow that would prolly work...you could put a few drops into some Future and see how it looks...maybe that
ll do the trick.
