E-2C Hawkeye | VAW-123 Screwtops | Eduard 1:72

Finally completed this E-2C Hawkeye, the “limited edition” offering from Eduard.

Overall an “ok” kit. Decals were pretty poor, and the plastic was very soft. Scratch built carrier deck, and figures & tugs printed on my Anycubic Photon Mono 4

INB4 “Oh that’s way over weathered” - I don’t care. I am a fan of dirty navy birds, and I know it wont be to everyone’s taste!

Lookin’ good! How did you prevent it from “tail sitting”? I guess it’s fixed to the base, but it still puts a lot of strain on the landing gear.

Thanks for sharing and have a nice day!

Ah that was an awful part of the build. The instructions call for weight but dont say how much and expects you to guess. She’s a tail sitter even with copious amounts of weight in the front. I ended up having to glue the nose wheels to the base

You’d never guess you had any difficulty with the kit, given the result. Super cool subject, and great work on that tiny base!

Oh, and navy birds should be dirty!
