It all started when someone who will go uunamed said I should build an A-10 " WARTHOG " . This person knew I was open hearted ,unabashedly weird when it comes to which airplanes I will like . Of course , I had to pick one that a fine FEMALE flight officer bring it home after sustaining quite a bit of damage .Gees , a GUN with an airplane around it .Or with all the munitions it can carry , BESIDES ,that great big gun is it a flying " DUMP TRUCK " ? Either way ,I think it’s neater than HADES and will definitely enjoy this build . It will look good on the shelf next to my P-47 in natural metal .The A-10 of course will be in camo . Tanker-builder

I have only built one A-10 and have been wanting to do another.

It was the first one that Monogram released in the early 80s and its still on display in the aviation Dept at Benson tech. High School in Portland OR.

Camo is ok but I still preffer the Gunship grey overall.

And yes they are built like a Mack truck…I have seen pictures of one that was still flying with its starboard engine shot off !!

They figured the A-10 could lose one engine, one tail plane and part of one wing and still get home. It has to be comforting to sit in a titanium bathtub as armor to protect the pilot.
