And it’s going faster than I thought it would!

I started the old Monogram F-16XL that I bought from one of the members from my IPMS club.

Yes it is going fast too, I started this yesterday by painting the pilot:

Then I built the lower half of the fuselage while waiting for the pilot to dry:

I then assembled the tail and installed it on the upper fuselage while the lower fuselage was drying:

Today, I assembled everything together, installed the canopy, sanded any seams that were an issue, and then painted the whole model. I also had painted the missiles yesterday, so they were installed today as well. Here it is:

Tomorrow, I’ll have the decals on it and will probably be able to finish it!.

I don’t know how you can work that quickly Duke, would take me about 2 weeks of modeling time. Other than the pilot in serious need of some flat coat, looks good.

Thanks Rick! I just keep plugging along that’s all. I’m glad you like my work. Oh, and don’t worry, he got a shot if dullcoat before the canopy came down.[;)]
