Duel over Cordoba

An ‘in action’ diorama featuring the 1/72 Azur Loire 46C1 and the old 1/72 Supermodel Fiat CR.32. The action is taking place over the southern part of Spain in September 1936.

This called for pilots to be added, the u/c to be slightly modified (extended), and for ways to have the airplanes ‘in flight’. Easy with the Fiat, with a simple bit of metal wire sticking out from the tip of the fuselage, but a bit more complicated on the Loire, which is attached to the picture by the wing, itself a one-piece of plastic, quite thin.. The metal wire is therefore secured to the bottom of the wing, and therefore mostly hidden from view.

Love the Lozenge cammo pattern on the Fiat!

Nothing that fancy, Veedubb67.. Just some simple camo patches applied with a brush. Italian camos mostly consited of patches of green and red-brown over sand.
