Dragon Su-100 finished

Hello everyone,

I have just finished the Su-100 for the Ostfront GB. It was a fairly straightforward build, using PE in the kit and Fruil tracks. I painted it with a darkended version of MM Russian Armour Green, then lighter shades in the centres of panels. Dry brushed with gray, washed with lamp black and burnt umber oils, used Mig pigments and pastels. Some of the pigments appear really strong on the photos, but look appropriate in real life- like the rusting on the tow cable- barely perceptible when i look at it, but way too strong on the photos.

Thanks

Rob

Supurb. Just the right amount of weathering (IMO).

Looks like you did quite a bit of post shading

I like it a lot. Those cables look fine to me, especially the end connectors.

I like the understated weathering and the post shading. Well done.

Perfect! I love the overall look of the paint scheme. Very nicely done.

Who said that green was a dull color?? I love the various shades of green in your model, and as said, the tow-cable is a very nice addition!

Top Notch [Y]

Love the weathering “used” look

I think you did an amazing job.[t$t]

The tow cable and the weathering look just right, IMHO.[Y]

Thanks for the great comments. I am always a little hesitant when weathering- never too sure when it is enough or too much.

really nice job [Y]

Always better to err on the “less” side of weathering IMHO…normally when that little voice is saying “just do one more thing”, you’ve probably already gone too far. [:D] Very nice work on the hulking beast, the Russians sure knew how to opt for function over form for sure! [Y]

Very nice build. IMO the weathering is perfect.[Y]

Great job! Yeah, there’s always the temptation to over-weather stuff, I really like how she turned out. Nice work on capturing the brutish squat look of the tank hunter.
