Dragon Marder II advice needed

Hi
Guys

I just got a Dragon Marder and and need some advice. I want to do my vehicle in the 10th Panzer Div. North Africa scheme. But was wondering which parts would be the best for that. (i.e the early or late model parts). Also, wondering what color to paint the interior? If anyone can suggest some good reference especially any with color pics I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks Guys

Despite the fact that Dragon provides markings for their Marder II in the 10th Panzer Division, I can not find any reference to the 10th Panzer ever having any Marder IIs. According to page 366 of The 10th Panzer Division by Restayn and Moller, the 1st company of Panzerjager Abteilung 90, assigned to the 10th Panzer, was the only company to have self-propelled AT guns, and these are Marder IIIs, not IIs. The second company only had towed 75mm PAKs. In 378 pages, there is no mention of, nor any photos or color plates of Marder IIs in the 10th Panzer Division. On page 26 of Schiffer’s Panzerjager by Horst Scheibert, he states; “The Marder II was used from 1942 on, on all front (sic) except Africa.” This statement conflicts with numerous websites, which state the Marder II was used on all fronts. Be that as it may.

In a brief look through the 100’s of books in my library, I have yet to see a photo of a Marder II that can be proven, let alone assumed to be in North Africa. Perhaps someone else has some additional information?

I too have never seen a picture of the Marder II in Afrika. The majority were deployed in Russia.

The MARDER II Sdkfz 131 (not sure if it was Sdkfz 132) did appear in the Afrika Korp campaigns:

See the text: In Tank Power Vol. LXV : Rommel’s Tanks; Militaria, Warsaw, 2008: The Marder II was listed in:

10th Panzer Division: 1.,3.Kompanie 90, Panzerjager Abteilung (motorisiert) (1942-1943)

Herman Goring Division: 1. Kompanie Panzer Regiment, Herman Goring (1943) particularly available in Tunesian late campaigns
