First post in a couple of years, just started this kit, no problems so far but the tracks dont seem right. I understand that they were rubber, but surely there must have been some sag, not just like tight elastic bands. Any advice on paint/alterations welcome

They were like tight elastic bands. Note the spring on the idler adjustment – it kept everything taut. It was designed like so or might risk being thrown. Look at photos of real ones and you’ll see that DML got it right.

A real set of tracks were just a giant rubber band.

Be carefull when you look at photos of the real vehicle, some photos are showing the early model and prototypes which were not equiped with the spring and there is a little sag on the track­. But on the production models, the spring was installed and the sag eliminated.
