Dragon FireflyVC questions

Ok well one of you said to ask if anything came up when building this kit so heres my little topic incase it does.
And whaddya know something came up.The bogies ,now when I went to glue them on they sit at a slight angle to the hull is this right? oest seem to clever to me. The whole instruction book is pretty vague in places(first dragon kit Ive built).
Any help on this matter would be appreciated.
cheers
Rob

Check the parts carefully. I remember that there was an error on the instructions about those parts. And there was two sets of parts for the plates that connects the bogies.

Hey Rob. Those Dragon instructions sometimes could be better. There were a couple of glitches with that kit. If I remember correctly I had to trim the boggie units to make them fit properly. I didn’t have to trim muchbut they did need attention. Also on the turrent at the bottom where they came together I had to putty and ad a weld seam to make it look right. Overall though it was a pretty good kit and I’ll probably do a couple more.

Problem solved.I checked the 2 sprues that all the bogey parts were on and low and behold there were 6 parts left, that werent mentioned on the intructions, that solve my little dilema. Thanks for the advice tho and I will go over the instructions carefully in future as well as checking sprues for missed parts, which will in itself be a challenge with all the extra bits included lol

Hey Stug,

That is mighy fine Firefly you built there. [tup] The whole thing is excellent, and I really like the lightly caked, dried mud. [tup]

As far as running gear goes, there are two other potential problems. With one set of idler mounts, the idler wheels will be too high, and you won’t have enough room to run the tracks. Make sure you test fit them before you glue. I also had to trim the drive sprocket axles. Otherwise the drive sprockets stick out too far and won’t line up with the tracks. HTH

ahhh , ooops the idler wheels Ive already glued in place, the drive sprockets tho I did notice were out of line so didnt glue themI reckon could get the idlers off tho if I need to. Once again thanx for the info.
