Love the progress on this one Eric! Looking very nice and you’ve found the perfect solution on the tracks. [Y]
VERY COOL
Thanks guys! This one has stalled just a bit due to other obligations. Prepping for a show in Middle Tennessee this weekend and hopefully afterwards I can get back to this one and wrap it up!
Fine work on her Eric.
OK, one word: “WOW”!!!
NIce to see you back Eric! Great work on the Zugkraftwagen
Thanks Eric, willee an Ernest!! Hoping to get the tracks at least primed tonight.
Rise up from the dead my precious, rise up…
I have finally got around to finishing this track up. It took some long hours and incantations from the Necronomicon to get it back to life, but I finally got a heartbeat. I did go ahead and add the jerry cans and racks from scratch pe framework. I also just noticed that I forgot to paint that little exhaust stub, so I will go back and hit that before it goes on the shelf. So, here are the finished pics.
I know I know, I went a little pic crazy but I couldn’t help it. I received a new camera as a gift from my coworkers and it takes much better pics that my iPhone did (although to give it credit, it did do a fair job). Thanks for taking a gander!! Off to the next project!!!
Eric, beautiful paint, but…[:$]
Whu…what…? [:^)]
NO CHIPS?!! [whstl]
…not even one? No chips, no dip? Tortillas? [:'(]
Seriously, it’s really beautifully painted, — if a bit clean for me. [;)]
!http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/tsg_smilie_surprise.gifNeeds some dip too… mud dip!http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/tsg_smiley_question.gif
Hey hey now, there are SOME chips, just not very big ones. And a bit of mud on the undercarriage and drive but I probably didnt do a very good job of capturing that in my picture frenzy.
Eric, if you feel like going a little “extra mile” on it, I feel like this vehicle and the paint job you put on it would be the perfect candidate for a judicious “sponge chipping” on those nice, long fenders and hood.A lil’ bit o’ mud on those fender tops where the crew climbed in and out would be appropriate too, if you get the ol’ mud bug in ya.
Just my suggestion; by no means a criticism.
Roger that doog, I’ll have to revisit a few things!
Oh WOW, where did you got those gauges?
Im trying to paint mine, and it just does not looks realistic…hmmmm…
Nice light weathering and color cammo.
Good to go.
Thanks garzonh! The decals were actually included in the kit and are very nicely rendered along with all the data plates.
I/m excited to see what you will do, Eric! [:P]
Outstanding work, mate!
Thanks Clemens!
Hi Eric,
You scared the glögg out of my cup there - I am lucky I had a slow connection [H]
Always keep a CPR handy!
Very nice job!
I especially like the way the Winter Camo came around and the weathering of the running gear.
Good luck with your new project and all the best for 2014!
Very Best Regards
Johan
Lol, I didnt mean to scare you with my little friend there Johan! Had to find some way to resurrect this build as I had been away from it for some time. I appreciate your kind words!! I will get some more pics posted this weekend showing some more chipping and wear.
